BOSS Computing Limited progress to the finals of the British Computing Society's (BCS) 21st annual programming competition.
The team entered by BOSS Computing Limited was named 'hello, world'
as a tribute to the famous program of the same name, which was devised
and documented in the book 'The C Programming Language' by Kernighan
and Ritchie.
The 2005 final will be sponsored by IBM and is the largest competition of its kind in the British Isles.
A total of 41 teams entered the programming competition this year, the
largest turnout in the history of the competition, the top 12 teams
from 5 heats throughout the country were selected to go through to the
grand final at IBM's development laboratories in Hursley.
BOSS Computing Limited are the only Welsh representatives in the competition this year.
